Your tax dollars are important to us, we live here, we pay them too! It is financially prudent to scrutinize our budget and implement cost-saving efficiencies.
In furtherance of the audit conducted by the NYS Comptroller, it is necessary to have a comprehensive audit of all Village financial records. It is necessary to review and optimize all expenditures to ensure responsible fiscal management.
Our Clean Slate Party team sees an opportunity to move the Village Offices to within the Village for easy access for Village residents. All future Board meetings must be held within the Village to allow for collaborative community involvement. Creating a protocol for operational digitizing and streamlining village records will provide savings and efficiency.
Our top priority is to protect our homes from rising waters on both the beach and bay. Through a unified village effort, we aim to assist homeowners in strengthening their shores, mitigating storm damage, and combating erosion.
The Clean Slate Team is dedicated to growing relationships beyond the Army Corps of Engineers with those who will be the source of future replenishment. Irwin’s existing relationships with our County, State and Federal representatives will further assist the Village in securing the protections we need, Irwin has long standing, established relationships with:
County Executive Ed Romaine
Southampton Supervisor Maria Moore
Brookhaven Supervisor Dan Panico
Westhampton Beach Mayor Ralph Urban
Congressman Nick Lalota
US Senate Candidate & WHD homeowner Mike Sapraicone
Our Clean Slate Team is experienced with working cooperatively to deliver solutions for our Village.
We believe that our Mayor and Trustees and all Village employees must conduct business with complete transparency and without any conflicts of interest.
Using today’s broad array of communication tools and social media, we will keep Village residents informed and up to date on any and all issues- including storm conditions.
The Clean Slate Party is committed to preserving the natural beauty of our West Hampton Dunes beaches & bays. The Clean Slate Party supports the current and any future Village Improvement Districts (VID) to preserve homeowner’s shorelines and properties. Support from our Village is essential.
This includes working collaboratively with the BBPA to further protect our shorelines and support community-based environmental programming and education.
It is necessary to address the flooding issues on our roads. Engineering studies must be done to determine the most efficient and cost-effective method to protect our properties and our community’s environment.
To further secure our shoreline and properties it is essential to assist homeowners to install snow fencing to protect our dunes. Conditions and maintenance of the beach walkovers will be addressed.
While we acknowledge our Board's years of service, it's time for a change. Here's why:
In our small, predominantly seasonal village, there are alarming concerns regarding the mayor’s comprehensive benefits package. This includes dual salaries as both mayor and police commissioner, and perks such as a new car, and health insurance. What is particularly noteworthy is that our mayor ranks among the highest-paid mayors in Suffolk County. This disproportionate compensation raises questions about fiscal responsibility, equity, and the true dedication to public service in our community. As we strive for transparent and accountable governance, it becomes crucial to reevaluate and align compensation with the genuine needs of our village and its residents.
For years, our village has been run by individuals with numerous conflicts of interest, raising concerns about fair representation and unbiased decision-making.
Did you know that if you're a seasonal resident of WHD, you can easily switch your voter registration to have a say in our local elections?
It's a simple process, ensuring that your voice counts in shaping the future of our community. Join us in electing Irwin Krasnow as our next WHD Mayor and make your vote count!
